MTB Trails and Parks
Building mountain bike trails in all their facets is our great passion. Whether a flow trail, a natural singletrail or a competition-ready downhill course. We support our clients from concept development and on-site planning, through the authority process, all the way to the construction of the courses.
A mountain bike trail is a course specially built for riding mountain bikes. Mountain bike trails can feature a wide range of difficulty levels and are often designed to make use of the natural surroundings and terrain in which they are located. Some types of trail include singletrails, flow trails and downhill trails. Mountain bike trails can be used by beginners through to experienced riders and offer the opportunity to improve technique and bike-handling skills.
In some cases, mountain bike trails are built so that they can also be used for races and competitions. However, it is important that mountain bike trails are planned, built and maintained sustainably in order to minimise environmental damage and ensure that they are safe for all users.

Creating the trail
The planning and implementation of mountain bike trails depends on various factors, such as the location, the requirements of the target group and the legal regulations. The following points are taken into account when implementing an MTB trail.
Site selection
First, a suitable site for the trail must be found. It is important to choose the location carefully based on the natural conditions and environmental factors.
Target group analysis
It is important to define the target group for the trail and adjust the difficulty levels accordingly.
Obtaining permits
Depending on the location, various permits from the local authorities and landowners may be required in order to plan and build the trail.
Trail design and construction
The trail's design should be adapted to the natural conditions of the site and take into account the abilities and needs of the target group.
How much maintenance does a trail require?
We support our clients from the start of the project through to its successful completion and also take care of the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities in the years that follow. Depending on the extent of use, a thorough reshape of a trail is needed every few years in order to maintain its quality and riding enjoyment. We are of course happy to provide this service!
History of trails
Mountain bike trails became popular in the 1970s, when the first mountain bikes came onto the market. The first courses were built illegally by mountain bike enthusiasts, but in the 1980s communities and government bodies began to plan and build legal trails. The popularity of mountain bike trails continued to grow in the 1990s and 2000s and led to the emergence of dedicated mountain bike parks. Today there are thousands of legal and official mountain bike trails all over the world, offering an opportunity to enjoy nature and be physically active.
